Detailed Itinerary: Bicycle Tours in Hanoi Half Day

Your tour guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby at 8:00AM or 13:00AM and transfer you to our Bicycle store to select appropriate Bikes. We’ll leave for our ride once you’re comfortable with your bike and have received a safety briefing.

We begin our Hanoi city bicycle tour at Long Bien Bridge, which represents the tenacity and resilience of Hanoians. This is also Hanoi’s oldest bridge, built in 1902 by the famous Eiffel Construction company. There will be opportunities to enjoy the panoramic view of the Red River beneath. Our Hanoi Bike Tour continues through the peaceful banana and corn farm on Red River Island, away from the busy streets, where farmers grow vegetables and fruits. This farming island is right in the heart of Hanoi, but few visitors get to see it.

Continue cycling along the banks of Westlake, pausing to take in the breathtaking scenery on the Thanh Nien road. A great place to see the contrast between old and new Hanoi, with the centuries-old charming old quarter on one side and modern skylines on the other.

With a ride through a bustling local market, we immerse ourselves in the sights, sounds, and smells of our bustling city. Then we’ll ride our bikes to Huu Tiep Lake in Ngoc Ha Flower Village, where an American B-52 bomber was shot down during the 1972 Christmas bombing. With our guide acting as a translator, we will visit a family home to learn more about Hanoian daily life and traditions.

This route takes us past major city highlights such as: Hanoi Flag Tower, which has been a symbol of the city for nearly 200 years, Hanoi Opera House, 1000-year-old royal Thang Long citadel, Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, Presidential palace, Ba Dinh square, Tran Quoc temple, Truc Bach Lake..

Our ride takes us to the hundred-year-old Reunification train track, which runs through the heart of Hanoi and is only centimeters away from local residents’ homes. This is an excellent way to immerse yourself in the busy and exciting local side of Hanoi. We’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant to sample Hanoi’s delectable cuisine. Then, before returning to your hotel, satisfy your caffeine craving with an original Egg Coffee. Allow us to share our enthusiasm for Hanoi with you.
