Your journey begins at 8:00 a.m., when your tour guide picks you up from your hotel and escorts you to our bicycle shop to select a comfortable bike. After a briefing on safety and route highlights, the adventure begins!

Pedal your way across the iconic Long Bien Bridge—Hanoi’s oldest bridge, built during the French colonial era. Soak in breathtaking views of the Red River, spot boats floating beneath, and explore a lush vegetable garden on the river island below.

🟢 Part 2: Countryside Ride & Bonsai Garden

Continue cycling along the peaceful Red River banks, where the rural Vietnamese landscape unfolds in serene beauty. Stop by a local bonsai family, where you’ll learn about the intricate art of bonsai cultivation and admire their stunning plant arrangements. Enjoy a deeper connection to local traditions, with your guide translating and facilitating cultural exchange.

🟢 Part 3: Local Market, Ancient Citadel & Garden Lunch

Next, visit a vibrant local wet market, sampling fresh tropical fruits and engaging with vendors. Refresh at Lotus Lake with sugarcane juice or other regional drinks. Continue biking along dirt roads and village paths to reach the historic Co Loa Ancient Citadel, dating back to 200 BC. Learn about the legendary King Thuc Phan An Duong Vuong and his defenses against foreign invaders.

Following your historical immersion, head to a nearby fruit garden for a home-cooked traditional lunch with a local family—a wholesome, authentic experience.

Dressing: Light and comfortable clothing and shoes. Sunscreen and sunglasses are recommended.

Trip style: This tour is offered on a “join-in” basis. However you can request for a private tour with small surcharge.

Distance: This tour includes cycling 45 km on flat roads, back-roads to the outskirts of Hanoi. Our ride will require a basic level of physical fitness and you should be comfortable with riding bicycle.
