Detailed Itinerary: 2 Days Ha Giang Motorbike Tours With Easy Riders

DAY 1: Ha Giang – Bac Quang – Na Hang – Ba Be Lake, approx 245 km drive
After breakfast, we embark on a’marathon loop,’ but despite the fact that there are many kilometers to cover, the majority of the journey is on easy roads where we cover ground quickly. We travel south on Highway QL 2 until we reach Viet Quang, where we turn onto Road TL 279 and arrive in the small town of Na Hang for lunch. After lunch, we ‘finally’ meet beautiful mountain roads that take us over a spectacular mountain pass before arriving in late afternoon in Cho Ra, where we branch off and descend Ba Be Lake. We check into a lovely homestay by the lake, which will provide us with a delicious dinner, bed and breakfast. (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the day.)

DAY 2: Ba Be Lake
We plan to spend the entire day on and around the lake. We will take a boat ride after breakfast to explore the lake and its surroundings. The lakes have a lot to offer, including waterfalls, rivers, valleys, and caves set in beautiful scenery. Lunch and dinner are served at the Homestay. DAY 3: Ha Giang – Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfalls, approx 205 km drive
After breakfast, we travel north along the’snake pass,’ stopping for lunch in Cao Bang City. We continue towards the Chinese border, where we will meet the breathtaking Ban Gioc Waterfall, which spans over 300 meters and is shared equally by Vietnam and China. We spend the night in a Nung e thnic homestay and eat a traditional home-cooked meal. (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the day.)

DAY 4: Ban Gioc – Cao Bang – Bao Lac, approx 210 km drive

After breakfast, we begin our exploration of the Nguom Ngao Cave, an impressive natural wonder with a cave that stretches for 2,144 meters underground and is filled with incredible stalactites and stalagmites. Then it’s time to ride through beautiful scenery and nine roads until we arrive in the small town of Ba Lac and check into a hotel for the night. DAY 5: Ban Lac – Meo Vac – Ma Pi Leng mountain pass – Dong Van Luong Cu – Dong Van, approx 145 km drive

We continue north from Bao Lac town and connect to QL 4C, also known as the ‘Road of Happiness,’ and begin driving north towards Meo Vac, where we stop for lunch. After that, we will ascend the majestic Ma Pi to the most northern town in Vietnam, Dong Van, but we will continue on to the North Pole. Anyway, that is the joking name for Vietnam’s most northern point – Lung Cu – and its famous flagpole tower, which we climb to see China from the top. We return to Dong Van, where we will stay in a hotel or a homestay, as agreed. (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the day.)

DAY6: Dong Van – Sa Phin – Yen Minh – Tam Son – Ha Giang City, approx 150 km drive

If we wake up on a Sunday in Dong Van, the weekly large local market meets us before or after breakfast. More ethnic minority groups than you can count have traveled here on Saturday or extremely early on Sunday. It’s a vibrant place with people from all over coming to do their weekly shopping and gossip. Following that, we begin our journey south. We soon arrive in Sa Phin, where we find the century-old palace of Vuong Chinh Duc, King of the H’mong people. We drive down the Stone Highland to Yen Minh for lunch before climbing a mountain pass covered in pine forest and sweeping rice terraces along the way. Down to the Song La river valley, where the road leads us to Tam Son, over the Quan Ba mountain pass, and back to Ha Giang. Breakfast and lunch are included.)
